Mediate Your Separation or Divorce Agreement

Matters relating to separation and divorce can be both financially and emotionally overwhelming. Mediation is a more cost-effective and less time-consuming alternative to an adversarial court battle.  Mediators help you to identify the issues that need to be resolved, to reach a mutually agreeable solution, and put the agreement into a written form in understandable language.

Affordable. Pay as you go.  The parties share the fee, $150 for an hour and a half, which is paid at the end of each session.  In some cases, one party pays for the mediation as costs occur, then gets reimbursed in the final property division. 

Fast. You control the schedule.  Sessions can be scheduled without the delays inherent in the court docket.  Mediated divorces normally can be settled within several meetings over several days or weeks. Litigated divorce is a lengthy, time-consuming process which can drag on for months or years.

Confidential. Confidentially in mediation is protected by law, so you can resolve your family issues with privacy and dignity.

Results.  The mediator creates a summary of the resolutions the parties have agreed upon, which can then be incorporated into the documents prepared for court filing.  Upon approval and entry by a judge, those agreements become legally binding.
